I'm a Midland Credit Mgmt target, what do I do?
Jul 18, 2008
Midland Credit Management complaint by Maree
I just received a call from MCM last week on an old account I had with a credit card company 8yrs ago. To my surprise MCM got my account and now want me to pay it off in 12months, otherwise they'll take me to court. At the moment my husband is the only one working and we have 4 children, not to include bills and groceries so at one point and time, I'm afraid I won't be able to keep the arrangement. When that happens and they take me to court, what will happen to me? Please help.

Threatening you is against the law, (fair collections act) chech the statute of limitations for your state, credit card debts are non-collectable after the statute of limitations is past, tell them to kiss your grits!

Check your local statute of limitations laws to see if they can even still collect that debt. You may not even owe it. Just google statute of limitations for debt collection.

You need to contact a good attorney now. It will cost you nothing because they will take Midland to court and win YOU money. I recommend James Feagle. Google him and contact him immediately. Your problems will be over. He helped me out of a major jam! Good luck!
