Midland Credit Management strikes again!!

Midland Credit Management complaint by Bowlingtiger

I have been repeatedly harasses by collectors from Midland Credit and the straw that broke the camels back was on 3/26/06. I received repeated calls from "Mr. Timmons" who told me I was a desd beat, we don't negotiate with deadbeats, I need to get off my a$$ and pay my bills... the list is endless and cannot be written here. Now mind you, this is for a credit card I NEVER OPENED with First Consumer National Bank. I did manage to get some information from a Supervisor, Rene Kiffmeyer stating this debt was opened 10/08/01 - I was on the roas somewhere between Phoenix and Chicago - I WAS MOVING and never opened the account. She told me to go file a police report, call her back with the information and they would obtain a copy of said report and I would not be liable for the charges / account, which from my understanding was $235.98 and has ballooned to $1031.00 + fees . Well, I did this and called her back on 3/31/06 - leaving a voice mail with all of the information. Low and behold - they NEVER called to obtain a copy of the report and on June 17, 2007 - turned this over to an atty... and I was served a summons last Sunday 6/15/08 and get to appear in court. Midland needs to be put in their place and soon!!!
