Anybody looking to jump ona FTC complaint about Midland Credit Management and debt validation? My next step is letter to CRA's with intent to sue all parties involved.

I have submitted the original debt validation letter (certified mail) with electronic signature confirmation. I submitted a follow-up letter using the same traceability method.

I have disputed the information with CRA and they claim it has verfied and being reported correctly under the Fair Debt Billing Act. The complaint to Federal Trade Commission has been submitted.

Yhe next step in the Attorney General, B.B.B. and then the trip to the courthouse.

This is a collective effort to file civil suit and looking for enough victims to go Class Action in Federal Court.

Opinions, suggestions, advice and experience is welcome.

Monetary Loss: $10.

Midland credit calls me 10 times a day, but never leave a message, one time. I did answer, I was on hold for 10 minutes, I talked with them to day and asked to send me a letter in the mail stating the amount I owe and I will pay 20.00 dollars amonth, I told him I wanted to see it in writing, he said no , but he neede my credit card number or check number, I told him I had been scammed and I only wanted to see it in writing first, he hung up on me.

I filed a complaint today with the FTC and Florida Attorney General. I was offered a settlementon 2/28/11.

I called today, April 1, 2011, they said my settlement was not valid. They also told me they don't send out letters confirming settlement.

I made my first payment through the web site and when I went to make the second payment on April 1, 2011, I was informed that my settlement was not valid and that they wanted more money. When i said I could not pay more than the $100 per month, they threatened to to send my file to an attorney.

filed complaint with Attorney General in San Diego, CA where midland sent letter from Filed complaint Governors office in Ga where I reside, Filed complaint BBC in San Diego. midland acquired an account which I settled and paid in full with Washington mutual bank.

it was a credit card account. Washington mutual was seized in 2008 by FDIC. midland bought account and after 2 years sends me copies of old credit card statements. the first time they contacted me in 2008 I sent copies of all documents that says and shows account paid and settled.

they reported the account to credit bureaus twice as if noting two seperate account. I will not stop.

if you go on their web site they pretend to be goody two shoes. I will take them to court.

I did sue Midland Credit, and am in the process of litigation. They are trying to intimidate, but as an investigative journalist, and the law on our side, they don't have a prayer. Couldn't happen to a nice company...

A great idea is to harrass them back. I have called them twice today, and just yelled at them.

I am reporting them to the NC ATTorney General.

This is fraud.

Please call them and yell at them. They can not handle it!

I had never heard of Midland Credit Management until recently when my cell phone began ringing several times a day with calls from an "UNAVAILABLE" caller. I would get dead air when I answered, indicating that the company was using an auto-dialer -- ILLEGAL for calling cell phones.

Finally I got a person on the line and found out it was MCM looking for a former neighbor. Anyone who is getting these kinds of calls on a cell phone should be sure to add TCPA violations to their complaint ($500+ per call) in addition to the FDCPA violations.

I just called to get the full account number and one of their representative started yelling at me asking if I was refusing to pay. I said I just want to know how to disputed this account balance and was all belligerent so I got upset and nor did he give the account number

These people has like violated a bunch of FDCPA regulations they call back 3 times a day after telling them not to call any more...then they block out their number don't identify themselves unless u ask them too...someone should do something about this...

I had a PERSON contacting me from Midland credit his name was supposedly Austin,,, he couldnt speak very good english,,,and I myself has been a debt collector, so knowing the information I do,,reguarding the FDCPA,, I asked him to send me a letter showing me proof of the debt, he kept asking me why,, it doesnt matter why.. I havent heard about this old paper account in years, and to top it off Midland credit hired people in INDIA,, instead of keeping the account in AMERICA and saving jobs for AMERICANS!!!!!!

I cant believe they gave my personal information to people overseas.. they have access to all of my personal information.. THats CRAZY.. and calling me wanting me to pay is the wrong answer!!!

I REFUSE TO PAY ANYTHING TO A COMPANY THAT GIVES MY INFORMATION TO ANYONE OVERSEAS JUST TO SAVe THEMSELVES A BUCK!!!! CRAZY!!!

i had a deliquent account midland credit mgmt was handling. Gary (Thompson?) hard to understand last name, offered me a settlement, but refused to send me a letter confirming our agreement.

every time i called after that, i was transferred to him as soon as the new representative pulled up my account, even when i asked them NOT to transfer me to him.as it turns out, the settlement he offered me was not valid, hmmm.@ 888403****, on 8875 aero drive san diego ca 92129, Mr. Gary (Thompson), the collection supervisor,is promising false settlements just to start colllecting from individuals, then will continue to do so, since there will be no proof of said agreement. i had to google a different office number to get someone to send me a letter of a settlement agreement, which was actually quite higher than what gary offered, but at least i know its valid and i have proof now. gary was also extremely abusive in language to me,once i asked to speak with a supervisor, he told me not to call again, treating me like i was harassing him.

yet his whole office had his back, transferring me to him time and again.

i just wanted to pay my bill and have proof that we had an agreement, he would not accomadate me and yelled for the last 3 minutes of our phone call. how does a company expect anyone to pay a debt when they wont even listen to you?

I am willing to do whatever necessary! They are holding up my life with there erraneous collection efforts against me.

No matter how many phone conversations and faxes I send to them to clear my name, the continue to harrass me and make me pay them to clear my credit for activities not belonging to me! I want to help and maybe it'll help us all!

Were on this has been over 7 years. Of fighting with this company and having my credit destroyed because of their incompetence.

Instruct us what we need to do. We are filing a civil claim against them this week here in Davis County Utah.

hope you got all your facts in order and actually read the FDCPA verbatim like i do every 6 months and you have all infractions acturatly documented otherwise you will lose a lot of time and money and look like on ***.
